“Harrisburg is a sea of blue as we begin Child Abuse Prevention Month in Pennsylvania,” said Angela Liddle, president and CEO of PFSA. “The blue lights on the Capitol Building and Market Street Bridge, the blue ribbons flags and bows on State Street and around the front of the Capitol, are reminders of the toll abuse takes on our children but also the hope we have that each person will become a #PABlueRibbonChamp for Kids.”
Each flag honors a child in the commonwealth who was a victim of abuse in one year. In addition, volunteers from Lamar Advertising affixed blue ribbons to the light poles on State Street. Tonight, blue lights will illuminate the State Capitol and a main bridge connecting the East and West Shores of Harrisburg.
