Pa Family Support Alliance accepting nominations for 2026 Blue Ribbon Champions for Safe Kids Awards
HARRISBURG, Pa. — Pa Family Support Alliance (PFSA), the statewide leader in child abuse and neglect prevention, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, is now accepting nominations for its 2026 Blue Ribbon Champions for Safe Kids Awards. The annual program recognizes Pennsylvanians who have gone above and beyond to protect children and strengthen families.
Nominations are open through 5 p.m. on November 7, 2025. Honorees will be recognized during a public ceremony on April 1, 2026, in the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg, marking the start of National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Nominees may include professionals, volunteers, educators, media representatives, law enforcement officers, or any individual who has made a lasting impact on child safety. Schools, community groups, government agencies, faith organizations, and concerned citizens are encouraged to submit nominations.
“Creating safe spaces for every child takes a community effort,” said Angela Liddle, PFSA President and CEO. “These awards honor people who go the extra mile to protect kids, and by celebrating their work, we hope to inspire others to do the same.”
The importance of child protection remains urgent. According to the 2024 Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Annual Child Protective Services Report, the state confirmed 4,756 substantiated cases of child abuse, including 60 child fatalities and 82 near-fatalities.
Submitting a nomination is free and simple, and winners will be selected by an independent panel of judges. Nominations can be made at pafsa.org/nominate.
