PA Family Support Alliance Announces the Appointment of a New Board of Directors Chair

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Pa Family Support Alliance (PFSA), the state leader in child abuse prevention, announced the appointment of its new Board Chair, Marci Lesko.

“We are thrilled to have Marci assume the responsibilities as Board Chair,” said Angela Liddle, President, and CEO of PFSA. “Her leadership, support, and guidance will enable our organization to further our mission and ensure that Pennsylvania’s children grow up in an environment that is free from abuse.”  

Lesko, a Palmerton resident, currently serves as the Executive Vice President for United Way of Greater Lehigh Valley. She has spent more than 20 years in human services, serving in a variety of roles where she gained experiences in public health, victim services, bullying prevention and intervention, juvenile offender mediation, and education reform.

“I am proud to serve as the Pa Family Support Alliance’s Board Chair and be a part of an organization that has been a leader in protecting the welfare of children for more than 40 years,” said Marci Lesko. “Protecting children is an issue that’s very close to my heart, and I know the measurable impacts that educational programs and trainings provide for professionals and our communities.”

In her role at United Way, Lesko is responsible for overseeing the organization’s strategy and integration, Collective Impact community capacity building, strategic technology, product development, and marketing and communications. She is a well-respected and known community leader, collaborator, and strategist, and always strives to elevate and support the needs of Lehigh Valley residents.

She is a proud member of Women United and the Concourse Club of Palmerton and has won five distinguished awards in her community: The Human Relations Commission (2005), the Donley Award for Children’s Advocacy (2016), the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania Take the Lead Award (2017), the Community Achievement Award/Lehigh Valley Business Woman of Influence (2018), and the PBS39 Good Neighbor Award (2018).
